Emet Wooden Mansion

The building, which is located in the urban area of Dere Mahallesi, Emet district, Kütahya province, on 680 Island, 26 Parcels with inventory number 54 and on Marketplace 1 Street, is one of the original examples of Late Ottoman -Early Republican architecture of Kütahya. The building, which was built in the understanding of local architecture of the period and with local materials, is one of the civil architecture products that have witnessed the cultural and social life of Emet.

Although some details of the original plan of the structure have been changed today, its historical and social importance in the city still remains.

The building located on 680 Island 26 Parcels in the Dere Neighborhood of the Emet district of Kütahya is a rectangular building consisting of rooms arranged around an L-shaped sofa. Although the construction date of the structure is not clearly known, the 19th Century. century to 20. it is thought to have been built in the first quarter of the century. The structure is built as a rectangular residential building, in a corner parcel with a garden on the side and at the back and two ovens in the garden. It is seen that over time additional masses were added to the side garden of the building as a regulation adjacent to the structure and these masses were used as shops. Oct.
